Five Secrets of Chrissy Teigen’s Ultra Glam Style
Chrissy Teigen is one of the most refreshing personalities in Hollywood. On and off the red carpet there’s very little that the Lip Sync Battle star won’t say or wear. Read on for five ways to cop Chrissy Teigen’s daring style!
She Gets Glowing
If there is one constant in a Chrissy Teigen beauty look, it’s her glow. The 31-year-old model, pictured here at Cocktails with Chrissy on April 27, 2017, in NYC, kept her look tonal — from her nude lips, cheeks, highlight, down to her nude pantsuit. Teigen recently launched a collaboration with Becca Cosmetics and posted a snap on her Instagram announcing that she Partnered with the brand to create her own version of their cult fave highlighters. "I’ve been a massive fan of their highlighters for years and I just can’t wait for you all to see… it’s reeeeally delicious, hope you love it!” she wrote.
She’s Perfected the Art of the Contrast
The Cravings author knows that there is a time and a place for drama. For example, Teigen rocked a glitzy cream beaded Zuhair Murad to the 89th Annual Academy Awards on February 26, 2017, but left her hair, which was styled by Jen Atkin, in a low-key center-parted updo. Atkin explained to Vogue: “We wanted to create a look that was young and modern … I love the contrast of a super-fancy gown with really effortless hair.” The mom of 13-month-old Luna (with crooner John Legend) also kept her beauty look muted. Makeup artist Mary Phillips used Glossier’s Cloud Paint in the shades Dusk and Beam to create a sheer flush on the apples of Teigen’s cheeks.
She’s Uber Feminine
Teigen works her feminine wiles like no other. For the 23rd Annual SAG Awards in L.A. on January 29, 2017, she rocked a tuxedo-inspired black DSQUARED2 gown with a dramatic thigh-high slit to to show off her enviable stems. To contrast the structured frock, the cookbook author wore her lust-worthy mane with brushed out retro 70s waves which were styled by Giannandrea. The hairstylist used a 1 1/4-inch curling iron on Teigen’s tresses, loosening the curls as they cooled. To get that Studio 54 vibe, Giannandrea finished the look by brushing the model’s curls through with a Mason Pearson Pocket Bristle Nylon Hair Brush.
She’s Not Afraid to Vamp It Up
For the Los Angeles premiere of Beauty and the Beast on March 2, 2017, the Sports Illustrated cover girl paired her Rococo-inspired cranberry beaded gown by Raisa & Vanessa with EF collection earrings and a sumptuous burgundy lip.
She Rocks a Topknot Like No Other
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! The Lip Sync Battle star has been known to regularly rock a topknot, whether she’s on a red carpet or posing on her Snapchat. Teigen attended the H&M Conscious Exclusive Dinner in L.A. in March wearing a wrap dress by the collection, and her signature hairdo. Her embellished chandelier earrings grazed her shoulders framing Teigen’s natural “no-makeup” makeup face.
